The Kidz Field is open from 12 Noon Til 7pm on Thursday and 9am til 7pm on Fri, Sat & Sun.
The Kidz Field has a Lost Childrens and a First-Aid post manned by a large group of highly trained professionals. It is 23 years since the last child was born in the Kidz Field (now a crew member). We do have a qualified Midwife onsite …
We have a CCTV system to ensure safety and Strawberry Fair stewards are always on hand to keep you safe and ensure that you and yours have a happy childhood at Glastonbury 2010

This is the place to see the big shows in the Kidzfield. All manner of strange, extraordinary and magical things happen in The Big Top!
Seikou Susso

Coming from a long line of griots, oral historians who have kept and promoted the history of the Mandinka cultures of West Africa, Gambia-born Seikou Sussou is a master of the kora or African harp. He uses his music to provide the perfect ambience and authenticity of West Africa. His compositions are inspired by Mandinka culture, and his singing & playing style observes the delicacy & poise of the Gambian traditional repertoire.

Andy Day

Andy Day is the host of Get Set Go and Big Fun Time zones on CBeebies. He was nominated as Best Presenter at the 2009 BAFTA Children’s Awards and took part in the Cbeebies Live Arena Tour, Andy took part in the Edinburgh Festival in 2009.
He is joined, for this years show, by his CBeebies colleague Alex and some special guests. It should be a funfest of surprises and delights for kids and adults alike. Andy is a mainstay of the CBeebies team and we are proud to present his show and Kidz Field 2010

Bodger & Badger

Simon Bodger has a badly behaved companion, a talking Badger with a love for mashed potato and madness.
With his chum China The Dog, Badger runs rings round Bodger and sprays mash all around.

Kirsten O’Brien SMart Art

Britain’s most popular children’s TV presenter, Kirsten has appeared on Saturday morning CBBC, Saturday Aardvark, Smart, Smarteenies and Totally Doctor Who. This fantastic live and interactive theatre-style art show is full of fun, energy and plenty of paint!

Magic Kev
Magic Kev really knows how to put on a sensational magic show. He will make items disappear and reappear in unopened and factory sealed tins of baked beans, make lights appear from behind children’s ears and make the water from cups vanish (much to the delight of the brave child standing beneath the aforementioned cup). All this and some music from a guitar or banjo for musical games, and the now infamous smelly sock race will be performed. Magic Kev’s Website
Oliver Smart’s Folded Feather

Meet Wobulous Discombobulous, the anarchic sock as he presents a line up of extraordinarily talented performing objects, all with their own unique and captivating storylines. Featuring the most unlikely of performers including the world’s only acrobatic potato sack, a daredevil ski glove, an incredible dancing milkshake straw, the hypnotic tie snake Windsor Knot, and the lovable yet bizarre magical Mexican hat Timrek. Zu Aerial Dance
Zu Aerial Dance offer a range of aerial pieces catering for any event. Bespoke acts also available to suit a specific theme. They perform solos and duets and will also be running workshops.

Is Sarah and Nick. Sarah Rowland-Barker has been performing and leading workshops for over 25 years. She has worked in theatre, street performance, television and on tour with Snapdragon Circus and No Fit State Circus.
Nik Palmer is an award winning puppeteer, puppet maker and musician. For 20 years he was one half of Parachute Theatre Company. Nik is the son of Ray and Joan DaSilva, founders of the Norwich Puppet Theatre and the DaSilva Puppets.

John is one of the great unsung heroes of the Kidzfield and each year he amazes, amuses and astounds us all with his fantastic far-fetched fantasies.
Sam ‘Calm Down Boris’ Lloyd

Sam has a cornucopia of characters, made famous in her fine series of tactile books. She’ll be telling the tales of Mr Pusskins and Little Whiskers, telling Sid he’s not so scary and helping Boris to Calm Down. She’ll have musicians and puppets to help the stories along. We’re delighted to have this celebrated childrens author joining our storytelling team.
Christine Willison and Mitzi
For over 20 years, Christine has entertained, intrigued and inspired people of all ages and abilities with her large repertoire of traditional and contemporary stories. Whether in schools, performance spaces, libraries or museums, in stately homes in Britain or at festivals worldwide, Christine shares her inexhaustible enthusiasm for the world of tales, legends, myths and riddles. Some of these come from her family’s roots in Ireland and Eastern Europe; some from Wales where she lives, and others she gathers on her world travels.

Clive ‘The Storyfella’ Pig

Music Workshops
Re-Play Music are a crucial part of the Kidzfield. They give free music lessons for the duration of the festival using recycled guitars, violins and ukeleles. This year Re-Play, in association with Access To Music, are bringing a fantastic Kids Busker’s Stage and Rockhopper mobile recording studio. Children will have an amazing opportunity to take part in workshops, perform live and record some songs too. We’ve had kids from our field go on to play on stages across the site and we want to produce the future stars of the Pyramid stage.

Three performers in amazing costumes, push a glittering sculpture over 3.5 meteres high, collecting people’s wishes na d playing a soundscape of voices and music as they go.
Commissioned by the Hebridean Cletic Festival, Sky Trumpets is a fantastical Promenade that collects thoughts and voices from the public and creates a unique on the spot soundscape. Using electronic wizardry, delay pedals and other effcts, Sky Trumpets broadcast the wishes of the general public to the heavens

Little Kidz Area
The National Childbirth Trust
will be providing baby changing, bathing and feeding facilities, as well as provisions and facilities to help those with very young children and babies.
Henrietta Lang will be doing Infant Massage Classes each day.They have nappies, wellies and wipes, (Bio-Degradable of course), in their sanctuary and are on hand to give advice, support and a friendly face. Drop in for a cup of tea and find a moment of calm understanding for you and your youngest.
Tiny tots will feel at home in the little kidz area, a safe, fenced-in area at the top of the field with it’s own mini playground and helpers, including shaded sand pit, swingboats, chairoplanes, and a book and toy library.
Bristol Playbus are on hand, along with Suffolk Playworks. Unsung heroes The Albion Kidz Show has soft playroom, organised games, the fantastic kidz karaoke stage and a pirate ship.
Tatty Bumpkin Baby Yoga
Sam Webb brings her brilliant method for learning how to use Yoga on your little one, to aid physical, physiological and psychological wellbeing.
Sing and Sign
Suzy will be helping with baby communication using singing and signing
Creative Kids
will be running a UV Den using a multi-sensory approach to play, choose between Jungle Space and Underwater Themes.
Regrettably, we DO NOT provide crèche facilities.

There is only one commercial outlet in the field and that is the non-profit . The prices are low, the food is great and service comes with a smile. All the profits from the café will benefit SOS Children’s Villages, The World’s largest orphan charity
